Sorry, there are no available tickets.” is not the message you want to see when you have just launched your event!
Not to worry there are probably a couple details that may have been accidentally overlooked when setting the Details for your event.
The two Details to check on your event are:
1. Quantity Available
2. Start and End Date of Ticket/Registrations
**Please Note: In the examples below, we refer to a Registration event, however these rules would also apply to Ticketed Events or Registration with Fundraising Campaigns.
1. Quantity Available
To check the Quantity Available scroll to the bottom of the Details page till you reach Registration Types. It could be that the amount set available is too little or is set as “0”. If the availability is set to “0", registrations will be unavailable for purchase. To change this, enter the amount you’d like to make available for each registration type and Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
2. Start and End Date of Registrations/Tickets
The next thing to check are the Dates registrations are available. The start and end date for your registrations are different than the start and end date of the event. The start and end date for the Event is the actual date of when the event will be take place. The start and end date for Registrations tell our system when to make registrations available for purchase.
For example, let’s say you have early bird registrations that will be made available to people who want to register ahead of everyone else. You can set the start and end date for a certain time increment, let’s say two weeks, and for that two weeks the registrations will be available for purchase. When the end date/time is reached, the registrations will automatically be turned off.
If the start date for your registration hasn’t started yet or the date end date has passed, the registrations will no longer be available for purchase. To change this, simply update the availability dates and Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
One more thing…
You can also leave the start and end date fields for each registration type blank. This would make registrations available while the campaign is published and all sales will automatically turn off when the end date for the event is reached.
