Account Level Reporting Guide

In addition to providing you the tools to create amazing campaigns to help you collect donations and grow your supporter base, Classy also provides you with an easy to use back-end reporting system to organize all of the data you collect through your campaigns in a constructive way. We understand the value of being able to effectively manage all of the activity between your organization and your supporters. We also realize that there is a lot of information presented in our reports, and there may be a bit of a learning curve in understanding the best ways to extract the information that you are looking for. In order to help you find exactly what you need, please use this reporting resource to learn more about the data you have available to you and some helpful tips about some key fields.

A. Transactions Report

The account level Transactions Report is one of the most important reports on Classy. It tracks all of your supporter's purchases, both online and offline, and will provide you with all of the financial information you need when it comes time to reconcile your donation revenue at the end of each fiscal year. This is also the place you need to visit when one of your supporters requests that they be issued a refund.

Transaction ID   The unique identification number that is assigned to each transaction. This number is valuable for quickly finding specific transaction details, as well as for locating Attendees in your campaign level Attendees Reports.
Processor ID   The unique identification code that is assigned to each transaction by your Payment Processor. You can use this cross reference a specific transaction within your WePay, Paypal or Authorize.net account.

Date and Time of the transaction. Please be aware that our reporting is set to display data in Central Standard Time (CST)
Name   Full name of the purchaser. Customer Name may be different from Billing First & Last name
Tickets
Number
(between 0 and 20)
Total number of tickets or registrations purchased in the order. When the Tickets column displays a 0, that means the transaction was a donation. When it displays a number greater than 0, that means it was a purchase of 1 or more tickets or registrations.
Gross Amount Currency (US) Total amount paid by the purchaser. Gross Amount always includes the fees
Fees Currency (US) Total fees applied to each transaction at the point of sale. For WePay users, this will be your Classy Fee + 2.2% + $0.30. For PayPal pro and Authorize.net users, it will be just your Classy Fee.
Email   Email address of the purchaser. The email listed here is how our system knows which member profile the donation should be tied to. The owner of the email listed here will see the donation appear in their donation history within their member profile.
Supporter ID   The unique identification number that is assigned to a classy user that interacts with your organization on Classy. This can include online donors, offline donors, fundraisers, attendees and dedication recipients. A member Profile will only ever have one Supporter ID with your organization, but one member profile can have a unique Supporter ID with each organization they interact with.
Billing First   First Name on the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Billing Last   Last Name on the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Billing Address   Street address for the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Billing Address 2   Optional field to include other address info, like apartment, suite or unit numbers.  
Billing City   City for the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Billing State   State for the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Billing Postal/Zip Code   Postal Code/Zip Code for the bank account used to complete the transaction.  
Phone   Phone Number for the purchaser. This field is only asked of the purchaser, and cannot be made a required field. To make a Phone Number field required, please use a Custom Question on your checkout form.
Anonymous Yes/No
Whether a donor elected to make their donation anonymously.
 
If a donor chooses to give anonymously, you will see a ‘Yes’ in this column. If not, then this column will be blank.
Opt-In True/False Whether a donor has elected to receive future communication from your organization. A value of ‘True’ means they have opted in for future communication from your organization. A value of ‘False’ means they have unchecked the Opt-In box on the checkout form because they do not want to receive communication from your organization. For extensions like MailChimp and Constant Contact, this is the field that the integration checks when attempting to sync contacts over to your mailing lists.
Campaign/Event Name   Name of the campaign a transaction is credited to Donations can always be moved to a new campaign, team fundraising page or individual fundraising page. Go here to find out how!
Campaign/Event ID   EID (or Campaign ID) that a transaction is credited to.  
Comment Long Text Area Comment left by the donor, written while making their donation. Comments can always be edited/deleted after the transaction has been made. Go here to find out how!
Card Type
Visa,
Master Card, Discover, Amex
Type of Credit Card used for an Online transaction.
(WePay Users Only) If this field displays AMEX, WePay will add on an additional 1% fee to the transaction, which may result in the Net Donation being lower than the originally intended amount.
(PayPal Users Only) If this field is blank, then the purchaser used the ‘Pay via PayPal’ option (which is only available to PayPal users.)
Expiration Date MM-YYYY Expiration Date of the credit card used to complete this transaction. This can be especially valuable when managing your recurring donors. To stay on top of any failing payments, we suggest running a report each month to see which donors’ cards will be expired the following month so you can proactively reach out to the donors before their payment fails.
Pay Method Online/Offline Indicates whether the transaction was completed Online or Offline. When looking to track only online transaction data, simply create a filter for transactions that have Online listed as the Pay Method.

Indicates which Payment Processor completed the transaction.  
Status Succesful, Refunded or Chargeback Indicates the end result of the attempted transaction.  
Designation Name   Program Designation that this transaction is credited to.  
Designation ID   Identification number of the Program Designation that the transaction is credited to.  
Fundraiser Nickname   User name/alias that is displaying on the fundraising page. This is an optional field that is located on the Fundraiser’s page. Whatever is entered into this field by the fundraiser will always display in the place of what is listed as the Fundraiser’s first and last name.
Fundraiser’s First   First Name of the owner of the fundraising page that this donation is credited to. This field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Fundraiser’s Last   Last Name of the owner of the fundraising page that this donation is credited to. This field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Fundraiser’s Supporter ID   Supporter ID that is assigned to the owner of the fundraising page that this donation is credited to.  
Page Title   Title of the fundraising page a donation is credited to. This field is set by the fundraiser when they first created their fundraising page.
Page ID   Unique identification number assigned to the fundraising page that this donation is credited to.  
Team Name   Name of the Team that this donation is credited to.  
Team ID   Unique identification number assigned to the team fundraising page that this donation is credited to.  
Event Costs  Currency (US) Portion of transaction that is for goods & services rendered. This portion of the transaction will not be tax-deductible for the donor.
Net Donation Currency (US) Portion of the transaction that is considered a donation to your organization. Net Donation = Gross Amount - (Fees + Event Costs)
Discount Code   The specific Discount Code that was used on the Transaction.  
Discounted Amount Currency (US) The amount that the Discount Code took off the order total.  
Extra Donation Currency (US) Portion of an order that was an additional donation, on top of the cost of any tickets or registrations that were purchased in the same order.  
Description Long Text Area Description of the Offline Transaction  
Check #   If an Offline Donation was paid to your organization by check, you may enter a check number on the Offline Transaction form. It will display here, if one is entered.  
Payment Type Cash, Check, Credit Card, Pledge, Sponsor, Other How the offline donation was paid to your organization  
Recurring ID   Unique identification number assigned to the recurring profile that initiated this transaction All payments made by one recurring profile will contain the same ID in this field, which makes it easy to filter for payments made by one recurring donor.
Dedication Type   Whether the donation was made 'In Honor Of...' or 'In Memory Of…’ the dedicatee  
Dedication Name   Name of the person the donation was made in honor/memory of.  
Dedication Message   Message written by the donor intended for the recipient of the dedication  
Dedication Contact   Full Name of the dedication Recipient  
Dedication Email   Recipient Email address that the dedication will be sent to. Dedication Emails can always be re-sent to the Recipient Email by clicking the Edit button for the Transaction record and scrolling down to the Dedication section.
Dedication Address   Street address for the recipient of a postal notification card.  
Dedication City   City for the recipient of a postal notification card.  
Dedication State   State for the recipient of a postal notification card.  
Dedication Postal Code   Postal/Zip Code for the recipient of a postal notification card.  
Dedication Country   Country of the recipient of a postal notification card.

B. Fundraising Pages Report

The Fundraising Pages Report is a very important report for any organization with a strong focus on Peer-to-Peer fundraising campaigns. The most common reason you will need to use this report is to move one of your fundraisers to a new Peer-to-Peer campaign and/or new fundraising team, which we explain in more detail in this helpful support article. However, this report is full of great information about your fundraisers, their pages, and the progress they are making as they raise money for your organization! There are three columns in particular that we feel we should highlight for you.

Page ID   Unique identification number that is assigned to each fundraising page. This field also functions as a hyperlink that will take you straight to the fundraising page.
Date Created MM-DD-YYYY The date that the page was created.  
Page Title   Title of the fundraising page, as written by the fundraiser.  
Fundraiser Nickname   Name that is displaying on the Fundraising Page This is an optional field that is located on the Fundraiser’s page. Whatever is entered into this field by the fundraiser will always display in the place of what is listed as the Fundraiser’s first and last name.
First   First Name of the person that created the fundraising page This field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Last   Last Name of the person that created the fundraising page This field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Email   The fundraiser’s email address. This email address will determine which member profile the page is tied to. Whatever email is listed here will have to be the email that the user logs in with in order to manage their page.
Campaign/Event Name   The name of the campaign or event that a fundraising page will have its donations credited to.
Fundraising Pages created under Peer-to-Peer campaigns can always be moved to other Peer-to-Peer campaigns. Go here to find out how!
 
Note: Fundraising Pages cannot be moved to or from a Registration With Fundraising Event. Only pages created from Peer-to-Peer campaigns are able to be moved to other campaigns.
Campaign/Event ID   EID (or Campaign ID) that a fundraising page will have its donations credited to.  
Designation Name   Name of the program that a fundraising page will have its donations credited to. Designations are created in your organization’s dashboard on the Settings tab.
Designation ID   Unique identification number of the program that a fundraising page will have its donations credited to.  
Address   Fundraiser’s Street address. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Address 2   Optional field to include other address info, like apartment, suite or unit numbers. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
City   Fundraiser’s city of residence. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
State   Fundraiser’s state of residence. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Postal/Zip Code   Fundraiser’s postal/zip code. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Phone   Fundraiser’s Phone Number. This optional field is pulled directly from the Member Profile of the user who created the page.
Birthdate MM-DD-YYYY Fundraiser’s birth date. Classy requires all fundraisers to be over the age of thirteen years old, as mandated by federal law. COPPA prohibits children under the age of thirteen from have public profiles on the internet. Therefore, if you attempt to sign up a child under the age of thirteen for a fundraising page, you will be not be able to complete the sign up process.
Supporter ID   Unique Identification number that is assigned to the fundraiser when they first interacted with your organization. This field is pulled directly from the Supporters Report.
Team Name   Name of the Team page that this fundraiser has joined.  
Team ID   Unique identification number of the Team page that a fundraiser has joined. Creating a filter for this field can be useful if you need to track or manage multiple fundraisers that are all on the same team.
Goal Currency (US) Fundraising goal that a fundraiser is attempting to reach. You may have pre-set a suggested fundraising goal for your fundraisers, but they can always adjust that goal when they create their page.
Total Raised Currency (US) Sum of all donations made to a fundraiser’s page.  
Percentage of Goal Percentage (%) How much a fundraiser has raised through their page in relation to their fundraising goal. This field can be useful when attempting to send out targeted milestone emails to your fundraisers. You may create filters with this field to see who needs some extra encouragement and support to jump start their fundraising, or who needs the motivation to make that final push toward their fundraising goal.
Total Donors   Number of donations that have been made to a fundraising page.  
End Date MM-DD-YYYY Date that a fundraiser plans to achieve their fundraising goal by. This is an optional field, but if a fundraiser sets an end date, and that date has passed, their page will only show up in their member profile under the Past Fundraisers view. You can always change this date for one of your fundraisers by clicking the Edit button on their record in this report.
Is Team Captain? True/False Indicates whether a fundraiser is also the Captain of a Fundraising Team page with a True or False value. 'True' means they are a Team Captain, 'False' means that they are not currently a Team Captain.

C. Fundraising Teams Report

One of the most useful tools that lies within the Fundraising Teams Report is the ability to manage which fundraiser is set as a team’s captain, or Team Lead. The Team Captain is the only fundraiser that will have the ability to edit or manage the team page. To change a team's captain, please follow the steps laid out in this support article. Changing the Team Lead will be important when you are creating and managing Peer-to-Peer campaigns or Registration with Fundraising events, especially if you force your fundraiser’s to join ready-made teams. In addition, as an admin, you have the ability to manage a Team Page’s Vanity URL within the Fundraising Teams Report. Simply click the Edit button on the Team you wish to manage and make the changes inside the Vanity URL field on the Team Edit page.

Captain Supporter ID   Unique Identification number that is assigned to the user that is the Team Lead that was assigned to them when they first interacted with your organization.

Campaign/Event Name   Name of the campaign/event that the Team page has its donations credited to.  
Campaign/Event ID   EID (or Campaign ID) of the campaign/event that the Team page has its donations credited to.  
Goal Currency (US) Fundraising goal that a fundraising Team is attempting to reach.  
Total Raised Currency (US) Sum of all donations made to each of the team members’ pages and any donations made directly to the Team page.  
Total Fundraisers   Number of fundraisers that are currently on the Team  
 

D. Recurring Donors Report

Recurring Donations are a valuable source of perpetual income that must be proactively managed. Our Recurring Donors Report gives you the tools you need to make sure that you keep those relationships healthy. History   List of all payments and activity related to a recurring profile. This field is helpful for tracking payment history, when payment information was last updated, or when it was cancelled.

Status Active, Failing or Cancelled Indicates the current state of the recurring profile

First Name   First Name of the Recurring Donor. This field is pulled directly from the member profile that the recurring profile is tied to.
Last Name   Last Name of the Recurring Donor. This field is pulled directly from the member profile that the recurring profile is tied to.
Recurring Amount Currency (US) The amount of the monthly payment that is made by this Recurring Donor. This amount can only be changed for clients who use WePay as their payment processor. It can be adjusted in the member profile of the donor under My Recurring Donations. PayPal and Authorize.net do not allow for this amount to be adjusted once the recurring profile is created. 
Total Donated Currency (US) Sum off all payments made from a recurring profile.  
Email   Email for the Recurring Donor. The email listed here will indicate which member profile the recurring profile is tied to. In order to manage the recurring profile, the user will need to log in with this email address.
Recurring ID   Unique identification number assigned to a recurring profile.  
Campaign/Event Name   Name of the campaign/event that all payments will be credited to.  
Campaign/Event ID   EID (or Campaign ID) of the campaign/event that all payments will be credited to.

E. Supporters Report

The Supporters Report does not require, or offer, much in terms of data maintenance, but it does serve an important purpose for your organization! It contains your entire database of contacts for your organization. Any time a person interacts with your organization in any way, whether they are a donor, a fundraiser, an attendee, or even the recipient of a donation dedication, their information will be stored in your Supporters Report.

Supporter ID   Unique identification number that is assigned to a member profile that interacts with your organization on Classy. Opt-In True/False Whether this supporter has elected to receive future communication from your organization. This is the field that both MailChimp and Constant Contact use to determine which contacts will sync with your account. if they have a value of ‘True’ listed here, they will get synced with your email integration.
