Now that our clients have access to our The New Classy API we want to make the transition to Version 2 as painless as possible. If you are with an organization that is currently using V1 of the Classy API, this article will provide you with some guidance as you make the transition from V1 to V2. Take our word for it when we say that it will be well worth the effort! See below for access to each of the following:

A. Developer Portal
B. V2 Documentation
C. Migration Guide
D. V1 Deprecation Schedule

A. Developer Portal

In order to provide a complete, robust resource to all of our clients, we have also launched the new Classy Developer Portal which contains the latest API documentation, important tutorials and other support materials to assist you with getting up and running as quickly as possible. We definitely recommend taking a look around the new Developer Portal to learn more about the new API and all it has to offer.

B. V2 Documentation

C. Migration Guide

Our migration guide can be found be clicking here. In this guide, you will notice that the new format of our calls provide for much more flexibility for pulling the data you need to access. You will notice that the terminology we use has changed for each of the different resources and end points that can be collected and returned. Our APIs are now RESTful to make your live easier!

D. V1 Deprecation Schedule

API v1 sunsets on January 31, 2017. This means we are no longer actively developing our old version and by now you should be transitioning to our new and improved API v2. To learn more about the timeline for the sunsetting of V1, please review our Deprecation Schedule by clicking here.

If you have any specific questions that are not answered within the Developer Portal, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at api@classy.org so we can assist you as your organization makes this transition.
