Classic Donations Pages

What is Changing?

Similar to our upgrade to our peer-to-peer campaigns, we launched a new, improved donation page. For example, the new donation page with the recurring module is optimized for recurring conversion. It is statistically proven to perform better than classic and original FRS at signing up recurring donors.

How does this impact me?

You can go into your account today and create a new donation page! We also created a tool to help you upgrade your existing campaigns. To easily discern if your donation page is using the classic or new codebase, take a look at the checkout page's full URL. If the format ends in "xxx/#!/donation/checkout" then the page is using our new format. If the url format ends in "/checkout/donation?eid=xxx" then it is using our classic codebase and will need to be upgraded.

If this impacts me, what do I need to do?

Hold time on your calendar to update your upgraded campaign. Immediately following your scheduled upgrade, we recommend you go through your campaigns and use your prepped assets to update your campaign. Again, you can use our guide to help walk you through the process.

Fundraise For Entry

What is changing?

Since 2010, less than 1% of all the campaigns created on platform were Fundraise for Entry events. Since 2016, Fundraise for Entry made up less than 0.5% of the total donation volume on Classy. We are seeing more and more clients using other campaign types to truly accomplish their fundraising goals and want to focus our efforts on continuing to build out and improve those campaign types. As of April 11th you will no longer be able to create a new fundraise for entry event.

How does this impact me?

This will only impact you if you are actively using the Fundraise for Entry campaign type. The vast majority of our clients are not currently using this campaign type, and are accomplishing the same end goal by using either a peer-to-peer campaign or a Registration with Fundraising campaign.

If this impacts me, what do I need to do?

If you have used the fundraise for entry campaign type in the past to require a fundraising minimum in order to participate, change your approach and set up a peer-to-peer campaign type, or registration with fundraising campaign type to accomplish the same end goal. Get creative with your engagement emails inside each of the aforementioned campaign types to encourage and remind your fundraisers of the fundraising minimum. Tap into Classy reports to filter participants based on the amount they have fundraised to date.
