As an administrator can I refund one of my donors?

As a Classy administrator, you can refund donations. Any donation made to your account can be refunded within 60 days of the transaction. Following the 60 days, Classy will no longer have access to those funds so the organization would be responsible for issuing a refund directly to the donor. Refunds can be made 24 hours after the donation was made because payment takes time to settle. Below are steps on how to refund a donation.

From Classy's Classic Dashboard

1. Go to the Reports Tab and select the Transactions Report

When you hover over the Reports Tab you will want to select the Transactions Report.

2. Use Quick Find to search for the donation you want to refund

Press Quick Find, type in the donor's name, and then press apply to search for the donor's donations. NOTE Use the date range filter to expand the time period of your search.

3. Select the edit icon next to the donor's name

Select the edit icon next to the donor's donation that you want to refund at this time.

4. Select refund donation

By selecting refund donation you are refunding just that donation. The donor that is being refunded can expect to see their refund in 3-5 business days.

From Classy Manager

1. Go to the Transactions tab

2. Use Quick Find to search for the donation you want to refund

Type in the donor's name, and then press the magnifying glass to search for the donor's donations. 

3. Click on the donation you want to refund

4. Scroll to the Payment Information section and select the Refund button

By selecting refund donation you are refunding just that donation. The donor that is being refunded can expect to see their refund in 3-5 business days.
