Classy for Salesforce - Settings

Classy for Salesforce works right out of the box for most organizations. However, additional customizations may be necessary to align your Salesforce settings with your business practices. This article describes the Classy for Salesforce settings and how each one impacts your data. When configuring the settings, please note that they are not retroactive and will only apply to newly created or updated records.

 

 

  • Salesforce Admin Email - In case Classy for Salesforce support needs to reach out to your organization directly, please include the best email address at your organization to receive Salesforce related communication from us.

  • Third Party Integration - Classy for Salesforce work with both the Nonprofit Success Pack and NGO Connect. Please select which, if any, your organization uses.

  • Account Name for Classy Contacts - If filled in, new Contacts will be assigned to the Account name specified. By default, Classy for Salesforce creates one Account for any new Contact. (Ex: Tim Gumto the Contact will belong to the Account Tim Gumto). Contacts that Classy for Salesforce matches and already have Accounts will not be assigned new Accounts. Other third-party settings, like NPSP's Account Model settings, may impact Account creation.

  • Add Contact Data to Account - If enabled, after a new Account is created, Classy for Salesforce will push Contact data such as address and phone number to this Account.

  • Add Contact mailing fields to Other Address fields - If enabled, Contact address data will be stored in the standard Other Address Salesforce fields. By default, Contact address data will be stored in the standard Mailing Address fields.

  • Update Existing Contact Name, Phone, Address - If enabled, when matching with an existing Salesforce Contact, Classy Supporter data will overwrite the standard name, phone, and appropriate address fields respectively.

  • Custom Record Types - If selected, newly created object records will be set to their specified Record Type. By default, Classy for Salesforce uses the default Record Type of the authenticated Salesforce user will be used.

  • Custom Opportunity Fields - If filled in, specified values will be used for these fields.

  • Custom Opportunity Contact Role - If filled in, specified Contact Role name will be used for Classy Supporter who donated.  By default, Classy for Salesforce uses the Contact Role Donor to indicate the Contact who donated.

  • Opportunity Contact Role Soft Credit - If filled in, specified Contact Role name will be used for Classy Supporter who's team and/or individual page was donated to.  By default, the Contact Roles Team Captain and Fundraiser are used to indicate the Team Captain and/or Fundraiser respectively.

  • Always use Classy parent Campaign as the Primary Campaign on an Opportunity - If enabled, the Opportunity's Primary Campaign Source field will contain the parent Campaign (highest level).  By default, the Opportunity's Primary Campaign Source field will contain the team or individual fundraiser Campaign (lowest level).

  • Add Donors as Campaign Members to Fundraiser/Team Campaigns - If enabled, Donor Campaign Members will be added to team or individual fundraiser Campaigns in addition to the parent Campaign. By default, Donor Campaign Members are only added to the parent Campaign.

  • Unauthorize Classy - If clicked, the connection between Classy and Salesforce is suspended until re-enabled.
