How to Use the Classy for Salesforce Control Panel

The Classy for Salesforce integration includes several behind the scenes jobs that run daily to help keep your data healthy. However, there may be times when your organization needs to re-sync data or sync historical Classy data to Salesforce. The Data Sync Tools allow you to do just that. This article explains how to access and utilize these features.


Locate Data Health Tools

  • While logged into Salesforce, click on the All Tabs (+) button

  • Click on Classy Control Panel

  • Click Data Health then Tools

Data Sync Tool

This tool will allow organizations to sync data using a specific time frame.  These steps highlight how to initiate a sync.

  • In the Classy Control Panel, select Tools on the left side menu

  • Under Data Sync click Edit

  • Choose a date range under Start Date and End Date

  • Click the Active checkbox​

  • Click Save and then Sync Data​


​​Pro Tip: Make sure to test smaller syncs first (ex: a one to two-week date range) to make sure that your data sync is efficient and successful. The Data Sync tool is capable of syncing large amounts of data, but it's always safe to start small. Classy API request records will be added for all data being created. Once records are no longer being created and in status “Completed”, your sync is finished.

Data Health Tool

This tool will allow organizations to check how many transactions are missing from Salesforce and resync them.

  • Select the number of days to be compared

  • Select Refresh Table to begin a query 

  • Select Data Sync to sync any missing transaction

  • An Email will be sent once the process has been completed

Scheduled Jobs

This section of the Data Tools tab shows the status of jobs automatically scheduled to run upon installation and allows for rescheduling of jobs if needed. It is very likely that these jobs will never need to be rescheduled, and this overview is more useful for making sure everything is running smoothly.   • Click Schedule Job next to any job that shows the green button

Pro Tip: All jobs should have a “Scheduled” status. If a job says “Schedule Job” make sure to click that button to ensure it is scheduled.
