How Do I Stop a Chargeback?
A chargeback is the reversal of a credit card payment that comes directly from the bank.
Once a chargeback is issued by a donor, both the nonprofit and the individual are notified immediately by Classy. The nonprofit can then contact the donor to resolve the chargeback with their bank institution. If the donor contacts their bank to cancel the chargeback, they should then provide information from their card issuer that indicates that the dispute was canceled to the organization so that can be communicated back to Classy and the payment processor. Credit card issuers allow varying amounts of time to dispute chargebacks.
If you need help with a chargeback, please contact support so we may assist in getting you in contact with the donor.
